Science Fair Project

What is a Science Fair Project?

This blog aims at strengthening continuity in the processes of working on project research. Information coming from the teacher is introductory and later discussed and approved (or not) by the group. It therefore requires interaction and dialogue between the group and the teacher. It implies that every member learns how to listen, discriminate and communicate his/her ideas or opinions to others with a positive and constructivist approach.

Objective: engage in more independent inquiry by conducting original research.

Let's watch this video related to The future of Food 2025.

What do you think? Do you really think this will happen? Why?

These links will help you for getting ideas, but carry on the research by your own.

These are the steps you will follow for developing the Science Fair Project:

Part A:
  1. Put the papers given to you in your folder. The presentation of your folder will be individually but the project presentation will be as a team.
  2. First week in the Lab of English. Research everything related to the main topic “Food Industry”. What do you find?
  3. Second Week in class. Present your teacher all the information that you have gathered and tell her what you have learned about the topic “Food Industry”. Present your folder to your teacher with all these documents, in this order:
    • 1   The cover (Name of the school, grade, ... and include the members of the team)
    • 2   Science Fair project – Final Report
    • 2   Science Fair Project – Final Report: How to Format Your Research Paper
    • 3   Science Fair Project – Display Board
    • 4   Writing a Research Paper (Sent to you Via e-mail, intranet)
         Part B:
  1. Add the PDF paper related to the topic “Food Industry “and read it at home.
  2. In class get together as a group and see how the members of your group are working. (if you have already done it continue with step 3)
  3. Coordinate the topic of your projects to move to approve it. After it has been approved, work on the development of it. Be well informed.
  4. The last presentation of the project in Power Point is this week Thursday 21st.
  5. The presentation of your projects in models and all that implies this kind of work is next week, in the laboratory.
         Note:
  1. Present your projects in the Laboratory of Chemistry. It will be graded for the 3rd Term on September 4th.
  2. The deadline for the project presentation and the written report will be on Thursday, August 28th.

Remember: Science fair project consists of three essential components: The display, the exhibit materials, and the written report.
